Vinyl is an unsustainable bubble that will blow up in buyers' faces

Most people who see their collecting hobbies (by that I mean comics, TCGs etc.) as investments are a bit weird in my view.

Don't get me wrong, there is absolutely some money to be made in those hobbies, but you have to be so deeply entrenched into it, you might as well become a professional seller.

Like people saw that old booster boxes in games like Pokémon and Magic going for a lot of money but guess what, those people were doing it years and years ago before it was widespread. Once it became known, so many people put away there booster boxes and they won't appreciate in value because there are simply too many cooks in the kitchen.

Same for vinyl. There are specific niches where you can make money, no doubt, like Anime stuff is always a good choice. For example I imported the Persona Dancing All night OST as well as the Neon Genesis Evangelion OST back when they came out and those go for silly amounts ($500 and up) but your average "mainstream" pressing won't make you rich in a couple of years.

Really, if investing is the primary goal a good ETF is far better and much safer than any kind of speculation in a hobby.
