I think it is plausible that these events took place throughout the week following TH death. After all MW himself states that the lack of physical evidence recovered from he scene was due to the fact that they had 5 days to clean up. Combine that with the different timelines of events provided by different ppl. I've said it before, I think this crime took place away from both the trailer and garage hence the blood stain in RAV from transporting the body to burn site. These 2 may have done the deed but the state used what they thought would be the most convincing narrative, because with the lack of inculpatory evidence on ASY with the exception of the vehicle they had to. If that a**hole KK hadn't felt the need to recite some fantastical poem of death to the public, it would have been far easier for the state to adjust the narrative to what actually took place that night. Instead we are presented with a complete fiasco due to one prosecutor's pension for pain killers.
Without KK on the team and his history of disgusting behavior I think the public may even be more inclined to agree with the states decision(s).
