About Jewish history (specifics inside)

Thanks. Having read your post more carefully after suggesting the book, I wanted to note that the “marketplace of ideas” approach has other sources like Mill as well, but the fullest discussion in the U.S. is in American constitutional First Amendment jurisprudence. There it has to do with a “state actor” restricting speech. It holds up less well, I think, when taken out of that context, and applied to private organizations and their decisions to restrict speech, like the example in your post. It strikes me as far less concerning in the private context. Moreover, any jet of constitutional scholars, including Tribe, I believe, have noted limitations of the marketplace of ideas approach generally.
