Accutane kills acne like a bullet kills a mouse ..does the job but may leave big problems afterwards.

I took it in high school and while it eliminated my acne completely it also had some lasting side effects. My skin dried out while taking the medication and has never gotten better to the point where I need to use lotion daily after a shower now. Also, accutane can damage the lining of your stomach and lead to digestion problems. After I stopped taking accutane I had to take meds to repair my stomach lining for about 4yrs afterwards. Those are the only issues I had with accutane but, they are big issues. Nowadays, in the USA, there are commercials encouraging people who took accutane to join a series of large lawsuits against the manufacturer due to complications from the drug. All in all, the med does eliminate acne entirely but the side effects are, to me, not worth it.
