Actually unpopular opinions thread?

I can't stand Manila, her drag is amazing and I love looking at photographs of her looks, but as a human she strikes me as intensely shallow and unempathetic... just not a person I connect to at all, and the amount of fans she (and Raja) has surprises me, I don't get what anyone sees in her beyond her outfits.

Max I also can't stand, but for different reasons. Similarly, I love her drag, believe she's very talented and actually thought she was shafted/a top 3 contender like most people think, but on a personal level she strikes me as wannabe pretentious... she's too immature to even be real pretentious. If she were a person in my circle of friends I would avoid her like the plague and not invite her anywhere because there's nothing LESS charming than people that talk in fake accents and say 'whilst' in casual conversation.

I love Pearl, she's in my top 3 queens ever. I like her nudes color palette, I like her lazy don't give a fuck attitude, I even like her lipsync style. I hate virtually all other Pearl fans, though.

I don't think Tyra's 'kill yourself' snafu was that big of a deal. It was disappointing that she hasn't learned how to censor herself after all this time, and I don't agree with most of her opinions she decided to share on suicide, but I don't think it matters, or speaks to her as an entire person.

Raven is hands down, by far my number one queen now and forever, but I am completely fine with her placing in both cases. Being relatable and loveable is not what they're being judged on, there's more, and some queens were better than her in the competition and that's fucking fine.

Actually, along those lines, I don't know if this is unpopular but I think we all know the show only tests very specific areas of drag that have so little to do with what makes a drag queen great... and as such I don't think the win/placement is all that significant beyond the prizes and exposure. Winning doesn't make you the best drag queen and going out in the first few episodes doesn't make you bad. In some cases I think the first few out were better entertainers in real life than a lot of the top threes.

I completely respect RuPaul, I find the show's shenanigans and her defense of it disappointing sometimes, but she made all of this possible and has earned the right to do pretty much whatever the fuck she wants in my eyes. If all the rumors are true they're all 100% fine with me on the grounds that she is RuPaul.

I need to stop myself now, this is already practically a novel.
