Is it against Lowes policies to call the cops on customers?

Unless it's an active emergency (large fire, shooting, medical, etc) you can be written up for calling law enforcement/911, ON THE CLOCK. [make a meal clock-out first] But it's the SM or District that will make the write up.

I was nearly written up two years ago. Because we had a known shoplifter in the store. I told an off-duty uniformed officer that happened to be in the store to watch him, as he grabbed some tools and started walking out. The officer made the arrest on the spot.

LP was looking at writing me up because I told the officer to watch that guy. My SM covered saying that I didn't call anyone, the idiot happened to steal in front of a deputy.
