Agnostic People of Reddit, what made you Agnostic?

I don’t think your take on atheists makes much sense. At some point the probability is so low there is no functional distinction. Or course, no one knows for sure, but for some reason it’s ONLY religion we take something with a complete and total lack of evidence and say no well don’t know, instead of we don’t believe it to be true.

We really don’t for sure we aren’t just all a simulation, or we don’t know for sure that a magical fairy riding an invisible unicorn isn’t sprinkling pixie dust on you to make sure you wake up each morning. Maybe without this pixie dust we don’t wake up the next morning, maybe it holds everything together. We are pretty sure it’s not happening, but there is no evidence for it so for all practical purposes you are atheistic to the theory of continuous magical fairies. No one here is offended that you don’t believe in Zeus.

But for some reason with popular organized religion, and my guess would be it’s mostly driven by fear, since we can’t know for sure (even though there is exactly the same amount of evidence for my fairy theory and all the abrahamic religions ) people are careful to be agnostic to the major religions preferring to say they don’t know instead of rejecting the claim UNTIL evidence is presented like we rationally do with every other facet of our lives..
