What's the problem here, because it seems a lot of people are way to angry about Halo putting up a sheet and asking some outfits to "sign" it and try and improve live.
Now, I agree with a lot people here that this will have no impact at all on Live. 1) There's too many people that don't care 2) There's no way to convince even the people who do sign it to get there entire outfit to follow the rules 24/7.
You say bureaucracy is getting a bit much, and in some cases your right, I think this would be much better written out as a reminder to outfits interested in Smash to try and improve their entire outfits play rather than just a 12man squad. But this isn't something the Council has voted on or approved, it's just something Halo thought would help and put on reddit.
It's telling that you mention "Council" 5 time and Halo doesn't mention it all. In fact it only appears 7 times in this entire thread. So lets actually address what you don't like, because while it certainly isn't some guy asking outfits to try and play "better" on live.
Firstly, if you want to play PS2 to run an outfit, that's fine, have fun. Me, Solaris, Halo, Xaniy, Omni & Toby, decided we'd put our time into playing PS2 (at least partly) to win smash.
You say that this group is selfish, that we want to shove our "specific playstyle (read: good)" at other people. And that isn't true, if you, or PTMC, or any other individual or organisation doesn't want to play Smash, or doesn't want to have anything to do with this at all. You don't have to.
What are our selfish desires? Certainly the one thing that keeps coming up is that we want to win. Sorry for imposing my desire to win a tournament on you. I apologise.
Whose voices are not being heard? Every outfit can access the reddit or come to meetings. we've got 6 people happy to help anyone who asks for it, we're looking at every outfit who applies and even going and talking to outfits we see on live and non-english language outfits.
Whose coices are you representing? Where are these oppressed peoples? Whose rights are being trampled? We voted on setting up the cobalt council, the vote passed something like 22-1. Oh the oppression. And being as Sam was on it then I'm guessing PTMC didn't have a problem back then.
You want to see a balanced selection of outfits? WTF are we still on this nonsense.
Do you even know anything about smash, it's organisation or what changes have been made? I've never seen you at any meeting, you've never had access to/or applied for the private reddit, I've never seen you involved on a cobalt level in any way.
