Have you ever looked at Ray's line in part 13 that he was given the ring and instructions to place it on Mr. C's body by a guard moments before he was released from his cell? I keep thinking about the identity of the Jeffries imposter and this line of Ray's. We see the moment Ray steps out of his cell, so it's funny that there's dialogue directing us to this exact moment (or moments before this moment). And a figure to look for: a guard.

In episode 7, there is a guard that stands out: a grey haired guy with a huge name tag that says "WARREN." I can't find him credited on the IMDB page for the episode. The only guard credited is the one that shows Ray and Mr. C to their car. Interestingly, Warren actually means guard.

I feel like the imposter is Philip Gerard / a version of him. Both Ray and Cooper know to place the ring on Mr. C, and we see Philip Gerard constantly instructing Cooper / Dougie, and we also see him constantly handling the ring. The imposter on the phone in part 2 wants to "be with Bob again," and we know that Bob is essentially Philip Gerald's arm, or old friends, the way Cole and Mr. C are said to be old friends. There's definitely something going on there, more than meets the eye.

That makes me wonder about dialogue where Cooper / Mr. C refers to Jeffries as "Phillip." It's his first name, but it's also Phillip Gerald's first name, and he may be impersonating Jeffries. I don't have any conclusions yet, just something to think about.
