Alleged Dez Bryant assault video takes place in a WalMart

"Emotional" and "passionate" seem to be universally interchangeable with prima donna when dealing with WR's. What might be motivation one year can (and historically does) turn to team destroying vitriol when things aren't so great.

Dez just isn't a 'lunch pail' player. He wears his heart on his sleeve. When you have someone like that in any facet of life - let alone an NFL WR - it's only a matter of time before the inevitable happens and they get their feelings hurt. Then what? You've got a hot stove.

My main points above are 2 obvious ones, and 1 veiled point: the first being our depth at the WR position is pretty shitty considering the numbers Romo is capable of putting up. We've got so much of our offense hedged on Dez's health and emotional status. Witten will be there, but he can't carry the full load like he once did. I think Dez not working out opens up so many options for us. Yes, you're passing on a top 5 receiver, but why would you not rather have a couple top 10 receivers in his place? More depth, more legitimate targets, more options = more wins. Second point, AP would definitely be a major upgrade at the RB position. AP behind our line would be unreal - let's not pretend like it wouldn't be. That's pretty much a dream scenario that just might become a reality.

And the veiled point...I mentioned 'lunch pail' above because I just think that's the attitude and work ethic this team needs to adopt to not only progress farther in the playoffs, but win the hearts and minds game as well. The Cowboys have become a circus...Romo flops and drops, Dez throwing helmets and going on sideline rants, Jerry constantly making unnecessary noise, known for picking up wayward players, revolving door of coaches and coordinators, the stadium, etc. After this year, it looks like there's a glimpse of that 'lunch pail' mentality peeking through, but wait! There's more! If the team gets rid of all the big egos and just plays good, honest football, Jerry can be neutralized because it will no longer be about him, and we can have to opportunity to win back the hearts and minds of football fans everywhere. I hate to sound like Uncle Rico, but people respected the 90's teams because they just went to work and left it all on the field. And the players knew it, and played like the world was watching. That, to me, is the ultimate winning formula.
