Almost no R but only D in my Biotech company after 6 years... lots of air and nothing much to back anything that is being promised to the investors.. how normal is this?

Appreciate the angle, I hope you are right. But how early enough is the early stage ? we are just about to enter the market (planned 2023). They are promising a AI-iPSCs driven product predicting clinical treatment for a very polygenetic disorder, which is btw still today a complete mystery in the field. I have also seen the "data" that is presented to the investors and the data that we have, which is not the same and very hyped/hidden. There has been no R done since 1.5years before I came, just "model" development on weak data. I have not seen any actual data other than the one that is specifically generated by the model, so self-biased. The prediction score of the AI model stands at 0.52, but is presented as 0.8 in external meetings. I get we need money and to fake it until we make it, truly. But this seems just too much.
