My brain doesn’t work this way either, before Anki I had never been a flash card person and premade flash card were especially terrible for me because at least the act of making the flash card was good learning. I have been using Anki for Korean though because I am want to be able to get familiar with a lot of words and what is helpful for me is either context or typing cards. If you are having trouble and are like me I would recommend making cards with sentences that you know/ have studied or using the method where you only don’t know one thing on the card. Or for simpler words you can add pictures. Alternatively if you need to brute force your way through a lot of unfamiliar words, make them all typing cards and it forces you to actively recall the word and then you can see what you got wrong and do 1 minute intervals until you can space it out more. (or you can use the scratch pad function or real pen and paper)
