AMD RX Vega Launch Megathread

The real sad thing is that AMD just rereleased a Fury 2.0 here that´s basically enhanced in so many ways they can call it a new architecture and yet it fails at even remotely competing in any category with the second fastest nvidia card, the gtx 1080. This is a worse launch than Hawaii and Fiji. Back then you could at least argue with 4K or FreeSync when buying a new monitor. Nowadays, these things are set and with the freesync issues appearing and AMD locking features like gsync to specific monitors and vendors and gpu´s such as with enhancedsync, gsync is superior in anyway even if more expensive. The marketing is garbage which leads to bad communication. Remember when we hated Nvidias graphs? AMD´s are even worse nowadays.

Let´s sum it up.

Vega is worse than a GTX1080 in: - Open World minimum fps and drawcall heavy/cpu heavy games such as civ or GTAV. - Higher TDP - More Heat - 1080 Performance Liquid version for the price of a GTX1080ti in North America - Freesync has only a price advantage, that´s it. - Has only 8GB Vram compared to 1080ti, but at least enough to fight the 1080. Still lower Bandwidth and adding AMD´s inferior Color Compression.... - They hype certain selected partnered games such as DOOM, Hitman etc and even their battlefield 1 and sniper elite 4 are just dx12 excuses with a 5% to 10% margin. STOCK to STOCK! - Barely any overclocking available compared to Nvidias cards. #member980ti. - and so forth
