The amount of times Steven has had to re-explain the corruption system

The corrupted player doesn't have to kill the non-combatant, they can run away. The non-combatant would also suffer durability loss if they die, 40-50% of the player's power will come from gears.

Even with the current system, the corrupted player would probably choose to run away since accruing too much corruption score will eventually make you deal 0 damage to players.

But with the current system, the main way for a corrupted player to remove corruption is by dying and they can effectively save their equipment by having their friend picks up their ash piles. They may accrue experience debt but they can pay it once they become non-combatant.

If the only way to remove corruption is in PvE, they can still effectively save their equipment but without gears they would be less effective in PvE and it would take them longer to remove corruption.

My goal is to further disincentivize griefing while incentivizing consensual pvp since no one loses experience on death.
