Anger after Argentine soccer fans chant about ‘killing the Jews to make soap’

This is a good comment, I’ll add though that any analysis has to accept 2 events: (1) Arab nations refused to accept the 1948 partition plan and started a war which they lost and (2) several Arab nations attacked Israel in 1967 and lost in arguably the worst military display of the decade.

I think Israel has a lot of issues, but I am tired of people saying it’s creation was an original sin. There were issues with the 1948 partition, but it would have created a Palestinian state, and it was rejected. When you start wars, losing should have consequences, and unfortunately Arabs started a lot of wars they lost against Israel in the 20th century. I think there are a lot of issues with how Palestinian la are treated, but I don’t think pointing to issues with the founding of the state is constructive.
