Some thoughts:

• I browsed through this sub and came across some set ups similar to this. I originally had one page but more apps.
• It appears difficult to navigate but I personally use spotlight for apps that aren’t in my dock. I also make use of Siri Suggested Apps when you trigger a spotlight search.
• Enabling type to Siri is great for setting reminders/timers/adding to calendar etc.
• I also use a lot of widgets for quick things I may want to do in the app
• I used to hate the red bad icon for notifications but I’m slowly turning it back on for apps that are in that folder because 3D touching the folder brings you to whatever app that has the badge.
• all in all, I definitely prefer this because it looks clean and I can see whatever wallpaper(I change my wallpaper weekly or even in less time now that I constantly able to see it) I have without a ton of apps blocking it.
