Another Stag in the Capital (Open)

Day after day of being cooped up in the dungeons, one would understandably get a little stir- crazy. Alerah had made it a note to take a day off after every two days of being trapped in there, a day where she could tend to the garden in front of her cells or explore the city that she now called her home. What no one seemed to understand was that even though hers was a job that would make most men flinch: she was still a woman and enjoyed the more simpler things in life.

Dressed in a gown of golds and greys, she slowly walked the streets of King’s Landing, pale eyes glancing towards all the merchants.  She sometimes was so amazed that she was at this point: working for the crown and living in the Capital city.  She was able to practice and learn without shearing her hair off and dressing as a man. It was all still very new to her. Her hair had finally grew back, thick strands that were pinned back with a pin of metal, shaped into the figure of a moth.

Her shadow, the “Lord of the Rose Road”, she affectionately called Axell had taken a day to himself where he could train among the Crown’s guards. Despite his pleading, she had slipped away from his watching eye and traveled into the city. She had bought a few new bushels of seeds, a few new journals, and a quill or two- where she gathered them up in her arms and held them close to her chest.

Alerah had sat down on a stone bench and decided to watch the visitors coming in and leaving. An brow of almost white hair perked up in interest as she watched a Lord proudly trot in. Eyes went toward the sigil on his armor before the corner of her lip twitched up.

Slowly and quietly, she made her way towards the horse and it's rider. Her eyes peeked upward through thin lashes as Alerah tried to gauge his expression.

“Pardon me, my Lord. But which of the Baratheons are you? Where do you hail from?”

She had been worried of her family back home in the Stormlands. Perhaps if he was from Storm’s End, he would know of- even just a little information- of how the House Horpe was fairing.
