My first trip to Disneyland was in 1977. I was 7 years old. My older cousin and my older sister took me on Space Mountain. Back then, there were signs all along the line route warning that the ride was very scary and that if a person had any doubts they should get out of line. They really got me nervous, especially after the last sign which said something like: This is your last chance to get out of line!!!! Well, I was scared to death by that point but wanted to look brave, so I stayed in line. I started screaming from the moment the car started moving and didn't stop until 10 minutes after getting off the ride! I spent the rest of the day with my parents and my aunt. We rode Dumbo, Storybook Land Canal Boats, the Mark Twain and watched America Sings. We also went into the Tiki Room. I thought it was legit raining outside during the rain sequence and was so surprised when we went outside and the ground was dry! I didn't get back to Disneyland again until 1997. I love Space Mountain now! And the Tiki Room!
