Any better vac's, similar to Shark vertex - AZ2002/AZ2000W (medium/bagless/upright/high power). Or, any suggestions on finding it new for under $300?

Walmart sells a version of the Vertex for $299-$330. Model number is AZ2000, or AZ2002, I don’t remember which. It’s the one with blue trim. I think you’ll like it. It still does a decent job on carpet, I hope I didn’t make it out to be like something that was terrible on carpet. It gets the job done. I’m just saying I found my Dyson to clean carpet better. The Dyson’s brush roll is also removable. The shark’s is not unless you take apart the entire power head. I’d for got the Shark if you have more hard floors than carpet, and the Dyson if you have more carpet. On either machine, wash the filters at least every 3-4 weeks. Let them air dry in front a fan and use a swiffer duster to dust off the dust bin and cyclones occasionally. Removing the brush rolls and cleaning off their hair out of the the brush roll bearings is also highly recommended, otherwise the brush roll motors will burn up at some point. The Walmart Vertex doesn’t come with the turbo tool and I also thing it may not come with as good of a warranty, but I think the unit itself is the same. Vertex is much easier to use the hose and tools with.
