Ok I gotta admit one that I'm still ashamed for and rightly so.

If you don't know who Alan Wiggins is it won't matter as much.

He was in LF that night for the Padres at Three Rivers stadium. Stadium was empty as usual. His cocaine addiction issues had just came out in the papers. There was nobody out there, fan or security, to stop us from being imbeciles and that we were.

We badgered that poor guy for 3-4 innings. He heard us, we were less than 100 feet from him. We cut him to no end. There was nobody to stop us from ourselves.

I didn't know about addiction but I found out the hard way soon after.and struggled for years but when I heard he had AIDS I stopped dead in my tracks. This was mid 80s and he died in 1991.

I've never been truly able to shake what kind of human being I was that night.
