If you're talking about IS releasing alts for already "FEH'd" charactets even on main banners, then I disagree with you. For some people it's hard to believe, but from what I've heard, seen and experienced, almost every character from the FE franchise, even a very unpopular one has its own niche of fans, that actually really enjoyed its presence and are waiting for it to appear in FEH. That's why Fates protagonist alt appearing on a bloody FALLEN banner not only made no sense (official explanation is BS), but was also a punch in the face for those waiting for a better "fallen" candidate, like Fomortiis (myself, I treat Fomortiis as a different character than Lyon, just like it's with Grima-Robin).
