Has anyone else ruined their skin with SPF/skincare?

I've tried using a lot of chemical sunscreens that made my skin burn the moment I put them on. With Altruist (which is a physical one and luckily doesn't really leave a cast (but I'm white so idk if it's the same for bame people), iit was the first one in a while that didn't do that and made my skin look pretty and dewy. But now a year in I feel that when I use it everyday my skin starts getting a very mild reaction to it as well (I can feel tingling and see some redness) so maybe I got allergic to one of the ingredients or just never noticed the redness earlier. I still think it's a great sunscreen that gives you a dewy but not oily look but idk
