Are these ability scores okay for a Rogue (thief), or should I change them?

Rogues are fantastic because they can use virtually any ability score as their primary ability score for ATT and DMG. You have to choose the racket for how you usually play.

I like highly dextrous builds, so Thief is good for me.

  • Mastermind: Can use INT
  • Ruffian: Can use STR
  • Scoundrel: Can use CHA
  • Thief: Can use DEX

There is also Eldrich Trickster, which seems interesting. If I understand it correctly, it can use whatever the spellcasting ability score is as the primary ability score for the character. So, you could have a Rogue whose primary ability score is WIS or whatever score the spellcasting uses.

Rogues in Pathfinder seem super cool, as you can make them into anything you want them to be. They can be at least trained in every skill in the game, eventually, and be utter bad a**es - especially if you add the right dedication and archetype feats (which I am still learning about).
