Formal submission of a request for a vote of censure

This afternoon, the partner Jordi Farré, the driving force behind the vote of no confidence to the Board of Directors of FC Barcelona, handed over the signatures of the club's members in support of their request at the Barcelona Customer Service Office.

Once the corresponding count has been made, the supports presented total 20,687, pending validation according to article 55.4 of the Club's Statutes.

The procedure of the vote of censure is regulated by the article 55 of the Statutes of the Club.

Article 55.1: In this case, the passive subjects of the vote of censure are all the members of the current Board of Directors.

Article 55.2: The number of supports presented exceeds 15% of members with the right to vote on the day of the presentation of the vote announcement, fixed at 16,520.

Article 55.3: The delivery of these signatures has been made within the period of 14 working days, counting from the day after the tickets are made available.

Article 55.4: From now on, a period of ten working days is opened for the constitution of the Censorship Vote Table, formed by two members of the Club's Board of Directors, the first two members to sign the lawful request and a delegate of the Catalan Football Federation.

Once constituted, and in the maximum term of ten working days, this organ will have to verify that the request fulfills the requirements to which it is submitted and, especially, that it has the suitable motivation and the support of the sufficient number of members. The Board may invalidate the supports that are not sufficiently accredited and may carry out the necessary investigations to verify their authenticity.

If all the requirements are met, the application shall be declared admissible and the Board of Directors of the Club shall be required to call for the act of voting, which shall be held within a period of not less than ten working days, nor more than twenty. In the event that these requirements are not met, the request for a vote of censure shall be rejected.
