Did i make a mistake borrowing my parents my tuition loney

Expect the worst, hope for the best. Never loan anyone money again. Helped out my first husband, who turned abusive after the movie et train stopped… my ‘life lesson’ cost me $120,000 inheritances, and ruined my credit (fun when they take out credit cards in your name without you knowing). Divorce, getting sole custody, continued back in forth in court which he doesn’t win, so far another $85,000.

Life can be very expensive with small decisions that go the wrong way.

Hopefully it’s a one time thing for you. If your parents are great in every other way… it’s a hard lesson. If not, see a professional about establishing boundaries with them. As a parent, I would rather save for longer, or not have such a large down payment, work extra jobs, and eat ramen, instead of ever ask my daughter for a single cent of her hard earned money. Everyone is different, I am sorry this has happened to you.
