Hopefully it’s a one time thing for you. If your parents are great in every other way… it’s a hard lesson. If not, see a professional about establishing boundaries with them. As a parent, I would rather save for longer, or not have such a large down payment, work extra jobs, and eat ramen, instead of ever ask my daughter for a single cent of her hard earned money.
