Battlefield "cannot keep up" as a Call of Duty competitor, says Sony

Such true.

I feel like DICE had a real shot a few years ago (2014-2016?) where BF4/BF1 were consistently great MP games and even Hardline was, I felt, a decent twist on the formula.

They've lost that consistency massively with the one-two shit-punch combo of BFV and 2042 tho; it's now no longer a brand I have any trust in.

In comparison, COD has that McDonald's consistency thing going on, at least in terms of featuring rock-solid gunplay in every instalment (tho I'm sure we can all argue on the map quality between releases ). It is a dependable shooter, and one that I know I'll always get a good amount of value from in terms of hours-played to money-spent.
