The Big 5 Martini Bar - October 01, 2019

Years ago, when I turned 18/19 I put all my money in [these](http://)stocks and at one point had €180k (my first trade I tripled my money on Advantage Lithium through sheer luck), now I have about €22K, still made a heck of a lot of money for a student but damn (spent an awful lot over the years, which I’m happy about, but didn’t travel enough).

Even worse considering I saw this crash coming and was preaching a drop for the entire first half of the year. I was short until June (50% TGOD / 50% SUNN).

After June I went and bought the dip on Zenabis. Went all-in on their warrants with the 2022 expiry (expected a recession). This is still my only position.

What I didn’t expect though was the insane cash crunch with interest rates this low, and I didn’t expect Trump to trash the economy to the extent he did (well I did expect it but it was unimaginable for me one could be so deranged).

Thinking about selling it all and walking away with a triple or I could sell half and go for the hail mary on ZENA with the LEAPS. The whole sector seems fucked though, especially in Canada. Even if ZENA produces heaps of top-notch weed I am really questioning how much they would actually sell.

It was a pretty cool moment though to see one of TheCannalysts on Bloomberg. I joined weedstocks when it had 3000 members and was probably one of the first to join here. Big thanks once again to the members of the team.

It is funny how my prediction of a big, big crash at the end of 2019 actually followed through. I should have just left this sector like 6 months ago and invested in bonds. It was pretty straightforward interest rates where only going to drift lower and lower.

As I am only 21 years old I feel like I have learned an awful lot through this experience with not that much of a negative impact except for too much stress and alcohol plus a very disturbed circadian rhythm (I’m Dutch).

I feel especially bad for the people older than me who put their live savings into this sector and perhaps those of family members. It looks as if history has repeated itself. Retail gets screwed whilst the big boys make the big money. And I don’t blame them, it is perhaps ignorant and a bit stupid to think you can beat people who do this for a living with this kind of money involved.

This is not a last goodbye but the fun times are definitely over. Guess I’m off to thinking long and deep about my situation here and I’ll keep waiting for psycolobin to become (maybe) weedstocks 2.0.
