Quest 3 will have a newer chip than the Quest 2, definitely, because it’s gonna have the same XR2+ as the Quest Pro (the XR2 in the Quest 2 is very long in the tooth now). In that sense it’ll be similarly spec’d, as it will have the horsepower to run anything the Pro can.

The Quest Pro is still gonna remain their ‘flagship’ product so IMO there’s a 0% chance of the Quest 3 having exclusive features that the Pro doesn’t have… I would be very surprised if they totally undercut the Pro like that. The Pro is still at the beginning of a ~3 year (probably) life cycle

So… Quest 3 just has to be a decent upgrade to the Quest 2, at a lower price than the Pro (about 1/2 the price). But if you get a Quest Pro now, if you don’t mind spending extra, you won’t be missing much when Quest 3 comes out
