I have a psvr as my only “real” VR experience so what should I expect from the quest when it get mine soon?

Quest's biggest advantages are its tracking and the freedom that the wireless design affords. Compared the PSVR the inside out tracking is largely seamless and the wireless design means you'll be able to move around more without needing to worry about being lined up with a camera or tripping over a wire. Streaming video apps like NextVR and YouTube also look much better on Quest.

Quest's biggest weaknesses are its lack of comfort and relatively sparse and over-priced software library. The front heavy design of the Quest makes longer sessions uncomfortable or just plain impossible for most people without some serious modding. The Quest's library is also largely made up of rhythm games and pick up and play shooters; you won't find a lot of deeper experiences and most of the ones available have already been on PSVR for a while.

Quest is a great piece of kit and a lot of fun but for the serious VR gamer it is not a replacement for PSVR.
