Bitfinex Interim Update

Before considering legal action against bfx.

the shareholders of bfx have more then likely cashed out every bit of profit at the soonest possible occasion and have done so from day one. There probably isn't much inside that company beyond some token investments in companies such as shapeshift.

That's one of the perks of not accepting venture capital. you are not required to reinvest; you just cash out.

It should be investigated if that is one of the factors that led to this security breach. misallocation of funds could constitute gross negligence and would open up the possibility of personally liability.

So better to try and sue management and the shareholders because that's where the profit went. money that should have gone into security.

All that's inside bfx are our assets. if we go after bfx, the company, all we would do is hand part of it over to the lawyers.

Going after shareholders, upper management and possibly bitgo seems much more profitable and it can be done after we get our 64% back.

i am obviously not a lawyer so...
