Long story short, I had to threaten to sue a hospital because of this. An ex gf somehow found out I'd gotten a concealed carry permit a week before. She made a completely false 911 report that I threatened to kill myself. I was playing Cities:Skyline and getting drunk in my room at like 8pm on a Friday. Not healthy, but not suicidal.

Cops tell me I can either go to the hospital willingly, or I can be sectioned and have to stay for 3 days. I offered to show Facebook that we hadn't been together in a year, that I hadn't even texted her in 5 or 6 months, nope. Went to hospital where they didn't believe anything I said. I was detained for close to 8 hours. State law says a mental health professional has to be there in I believe 3 hours or less. They kept telling me I couldn't leave. I get home, cops have revoked my concealed carry despite the hospital discharging me as completely fine. I get a $40K bill bc the hospital refused to run my insurance. Since the ex gf was in a different state, the cops supposedly can't do anything about a fake 911 call. So I now don't have a gun license I paid $300 for, I had a bill for $40K which I had the hospital forgive in writing and have it notarized or I'd be suing them to hell and back.
