Black on Black crime.

I never said anything about "all white people" or even blamed any specific group.

I know. You were intentionally ambiguous, and yet you still managed to imply some huge, centuries long, conspiracy where all black people are put at an economic disadvantage. Who's responsible for that? And again, give me any modern example of how there is any systemic force that is putting black people specifically at an economic disadvantage in the US.

if you are honestly insinuating that the moment the Civil Rights Act was passed, the US instantly became a post-racial paradise where people judged each other for the content of their character and not the color of their skin.

Now that's what I call a strawman. Gee wiz. How'd you gather all of that from what I've said?

You called me naive, but I think it's more naive to simply accept that there is this giant evil force that is holding an entire population down without any concrete examples. And now I'm either ignorant or racist just because I believe significant progress has been made since Jim Crow in the south, and much longer than that in the north. African Americans are one of the richest demographics on the planet. That's not to say that relative poverty isn't an important problem. I just don't believe in some evil collective of non-black Americans that somehow have the power to hold down an entire population and prevent them from making progress. Chinese Americans were in internment camps and face the same very limited amount of racism that black people face. Why are they doing so well?

The reason certain neighborhoods don't have good schools or jobs is because those neighborhoods are violent and dangerous. It's not racist that teachers don't want to work there and employers don't want to open stores there. They don't want to be shot or robbed. More and more government money keeps getting poured into those neighborhoods and nothing changes. It's not because of some ethereal racism floating in the air. Racism still exists, but it's very limited and it definitely goes both ways.
