Boerboels are about as evil and hard to handle as Pit Bulls and Chihuahuas

Oh, I see what you mean. I had to go back into the paragraph and find the context.

They are NOT beginner dogs. This is true but not because of aggression, but because they need someone who can be dominant, reliant, even with discipline, and can dedicate the time needed to properly train.

Dominant is not meaning "alpha of the pack", but you do have to stand your ground. Even as a pup, my dog won't take your command serious unless you use a command voice. She walks all over weak people and that was something that was seen in her sire. That's why I also say reliant and even with discipline. Everything has to be the same and must have follow through. Every time.

if there is one prevalent element in your post it is that Boerboels are a difficult breed and aren't for first time dog owners.

Yes. Absolutely. But the difficulty is not in aggression and antisocial behavior as stated in their posts, it's developing their instincts correctly and giving the correct training and attention needed. They are not labs that can stay home all day long and be happy to see whoever comes over. They have to get out, be socialized, spend time with other animals and people, and meet strangers in a positive manner constantly. This has to be done as a puppy up through adulthood.

Considering that these were the main points that the people in the original post were trying to get across to OP, perhaps you aren't in such disagreement after all.

No, not in disagreement with everything, but they didn't have a full understanding of the breed and were painting a lot of misconceptions, as pointed out above. THAT was the point of the post. A breeder is really the best person to get info on this dog. The whole point of the breed in South Africa was to protect the family and farm. They are working dogs in that sense, but they are also meant to be family dogs, too.
