Why the Brexit referendum will be swung by the horrific events in Cologne

Because their arguments are "it might happen"... Please go and research what burden of proof is, or take a course in philosophy or debating.

I know what the burden of proof is. Both sides need provide it. The OUT side has very reasonable concerns based on recent events in my opinion. The IN side also has reasonable concerns. Both sides have talked about hypothetical situations. IN campaigners have said that our economy would suffer, yet recent statements suggest that won't be the case. But, obviously, we don't know what the full effects will be. We can only speculate.

Back to the topic at hand though. The IN campaign need to provide more than just "But it might not happen" and the OUT campaign need to provide more than "But this will happen". Both need to provide burden of proof and then people, such as myself, need to listen to both sides and decide what we feel is the best option.

It's the same evidence that they used... e.g. none. But for some reason you trust them, the people making the assertions over me; the person who rejects their assertions.

I never said that I trusted them. It's a reasonable concern. Again, we have to talk about potential situations. And the fallout from the crisis is a huge concern for British people. The IN side hasn't provided any evidence to prove that everything will be okay. Both sides talk about hypothetical situations.

What has the EU done exactly? Be specific please.

The EU has failed to deal with the refugee crisis. They could still salvage but I don't think they will.

In any debate, people need to justify their position; this is axiomatic.

They weren't actually debating you. They just outlined why they were voting to leave. Others have debated you in this thread though.

I'm sorry that debating seems to be a new phenomenon to you, but philosophically and logically they're wrong or at the very least fail to base their position on logic or reality.

It isn't. I would say that many people in this thread have based their position on reality, such as the EU's failure to deal with the refugee crisis and Germany poor policy towards refugees.
