I agree. My comment was strictly aimed at the implication that people using wheelchairs aren't fully experiencing life. I'm all for technology that makes the world more accessible for everyone. It really wasn't meant to be an attack on anyone, just an observation that maybe the op didn't realize how their comment came across.

If I came off as combative it wasn't intentional and I apologize. I acknowledge that I am more sensitive to those kinds of off-hand comments due to my own experiences as a disabled person and those of my friends. I try to bring it up because ime most people are well-intentioned and just don't realize what they're saying can be hurtful.
