Build-A-Team Workshop! Get A Team Built For You Here!

So I'm going to be doing the Johto Classic tournament. Here are the rules.

What I've got so far -

Forretress @ Custap Berry Ability: Sturdy EVs: 252 Def / 252 Sp.Def / 4 HP Impish Nature - Stealth Rock - Explosion - Spikes - Gyro Ball

Alakazam @ Life Orb Ability: Magic Guard EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe Timid Nature - Psyshock - Shadow Ball - Dazzling Gleam - Shadow Ball

Dragonite @ Rawst Berry Ability: Multiscale EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe Adamant Nature - Outrage - Extreme Speed - Fire Punch - Earthquake

My strategy is pretty simple. Forretress leads and sets up as many entry hazards as possible and tries to get off an explosion using the Custap Berry. Then Dragonite comes in with an extreme speed finisher if the explosion didn't KO. The opponent assumes Dragonite is banded or scarved so they might bring in something that resists normal, such as steel or ghost. Then I surprise with outrage or earthquake. Alakazam is the standard fast special sweeper. My overall strategy is lead with either a hazard user or maybe a baton-passer then plow through the opponent with 2 full-aggro offensive types.

I've been testing it on random matchup rating battles and it's had surprising success. Out of 20 battles so far, 9 wins and 11 losses. That's pretty good considering I'm only using a team of 3 and the opponents often have a mega-evolver. But I need 6 team members total and I have some ideas. I typically use offensive teams that don't do very much setup or support. One of my favorites is Shell-Smash Cloyster:

Cloyster @ Focus Sash Ability: Skill Link EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 Def Jolly Nature IVs: 31 ALL - Shell Smash - Icicle Spear - Rock Blast - Ice Shard

I've swept through teams of super legendaries with it. However, Forretress rarely gets the chance to explode and my sweepers are left to contend with a 3v2 situation. Another possibility is to switch Forretress out with a bulky Tyrannitar which can set up Stealth Rocks and also do some damage. A toxic or burn staller is another possibility. Blissey, perhaps.
