HOA says "no playing drums inside your house!" so open space will do

I work from home.

If you interrupt my work with your thumping base, you're the asshole. But even if I wasn't working, noise disturbances are not okay. They cause stress and can damage your health. There are lots of hobbies which aren't noisy, and there are plenty of ways to play the drums which don't involve blasting a 1/4 mile radius of your neighborhood with loud bass.

Everyone deserves peace and quiet in their own home. It's also the law in most places, look it up. It doesn't matter the hour, you're not allowed to disturb people by making loud noises every day.

99% of people I've lived nearby in my entire life haven't made a peep other than the occasional party, dog barking, etc, and the 1 guy who did make noise every day understood completely and worked to solve it. If OP isn't willing to do his hobby without disturbing his neighbors, he's a piece of shit. And if you agree with him, so are you.
