California moves to end sales of new gas-powered cars

It takes 5 years AFTER all the planning, engineering, permits, design and whatnot for the towers to start being built. The demand for new power lines is super crazy and most construction companies have a 5 year wait for new projects.

And power maintenance folks were not doing a hood job of maintaining the power grid. The drop you see in the cable from pole to pole is engineered and is that specific drop by design. On occasion some utility workers would use their eyeball to measure the drop instead of their tools.

Works fine until someone hits a pole and the line hits the ground. You’re supposed to be able to lose at least 1 pole before the wire hits the ground. Cause the eyeball approach was being used against regs, it let the cables sometimes hit the ground when just one pole was broken. Causing sparks, lots of sparks
