Calming a flare-up

I'd love to hear how you like the CeraVe foaming wash after you've used it for a bit of time. It's been my go-to cleanser since February only because it doesn't make things worse (which I now consider a perk). I'm slightly paranoid about using it since I had a bad reaction to The Ordinary's niacinamide serum and noticed that it's an ingredient in CeraVe. Hopefully my overactive imagination/worry won't transfer itself onto a product that I like. :-p If your derm recommended it, though, it must be safe.

I've read mixed reviews on paleo and vegan diets. I think Kate Hudson said her acne worsened while she was on the paleo diet and it cleared up when she went vegan. As far as rosacea is concerned, I think everyone is different. On the forum, a lot people seem to have luck by reducing their sugar intake and/or going gluten free. I don't know how much of a link there is with gut health and skin. My roommate practically lives on doughnuts and pizza + sleeps with makeup on, yet her skin is flawless. I gave up sugar for 30 days and my rosacea just sat there and sneered at me. :-(

Did your dermatologist recommend a nighttime moisturizer, or are you using the CeraVe AM for both times?
