Everyone is missing the point with separating the display and Mac.

You have to remember that the legacy of Windows has historically been IT/office work, Apple is creative design. Adobe products used to only be Apple-specific, there are well known film editing and audio apps that are still Mac-only. With CGI relying on aftermarket video cards Windows has taken some of that work, but even then Hollywood CGI shops often use Linux builds to reduce processing overhead rather than Windows.

Apple has no reason to make a cheap office monitor because Dell does that. Similarly, Apple will never release a monitor that isn’t color controlled because their market is focused around work needing accurate color.

On the other hand, the higher end Dell monitors are really good performance for the cost, look into one.
