I gave the Dothraki and OZ as examples to illustrate that I'm not above violence and testosterone. Also, my perception of both Dothraki and The Ironborn is strongly influenced by the show (b/c it was the show that led me to the books). And b/c of the show I strongly dislike the Ironborn. I suspect I may feel a bit different if I had the chance to picture them myself in my head before seeing them on screen. And Dothraki too.

As for Klingons, I mentioned religion b/c all their traditions seem to be rooted in religion (or at least that's what stuck w/ me). But franky, the minute they start barking and posturing, I stop paying attention. You wouldn't believe the eyrolls.

Fun fact: can you believe that it's b/c of Jason Momoa that I finally gave into watching GoT, after resisting the show for probably 5 seasons. The decision was also somewhat dictated by circumstance but, yeah, it's b/c of Jason Momoa I became an aSoIaF fan :D
