I don't know what people are talking about but you absolutely can add both mileage and car repairs on your taxes. It doesn't have to only be 1 like wtf lol. Technically you can write off every single expense that was work related and a car repair is work related since you had to repair it for work. I personally claimed X amount of mileage, a car repair as well as rental car expenses for my taxes last year. It all came out to like a $15k deductible. If you don't already know all of those expenses are just counted as deductibles meaning they are taking out of your total amount of money you made that you owe taxes on. So if you made $50k and had a $15k deductible than you're only going to owe taxes on $35k
