Can we please all be a bit kinder to each other?

  1. I don’t put medicine on a pedestal- like any other profession in this world, you have to know exactly what you’re getting yourself into, and one of the best characteristics to have in this field is drive- I know of heaps of people i.e coming from third world countries or those who have been trying for years on end to get in and then finally do against odds. It actually isn’t that rare of a scenario- so with that point excuse me for being blunt but I’m not going to sugar coat the fact that you need to be strong emotionally and mentally to be a top performing physician

  2. Obviously mental illness is important and rightfully should be discussed in all communities no one wants to go back to 1955.Perhaps there is a facetious aspect to my post because the concept of “being nice to each other” on a reddit post. Like what? Some of us posting that we are glad we get more study time is getting you vexed to the point you take your own life? Sorry but grow some thick skin and gain a bigger outlook on life. There are kids the streets who will be starving and begging for the rest of their lives who’ll never get these opportunities.
