Can someone please explain to me why Democrats so vigorously oppose good foreign relations with Russia?

The problem a lot of us have it we don't trust the source of the "let's be friends with russia". Trump is hiding things and people in his administration have connections to Russia. We don't trust that this administration and think they have behind the scenes motivations to make this happen. This whole thing has stunk from the beginning and it isn't going to stop until whatever is hidden gets uncovered.
