‘I cannot adequately put into words the trauma & despair that comes with waiting to either lose your own life, your child’s, or both.’ A woman, who’s suing the state of TX after being denied an abortion due to restrictive laws, testified before Senate members Wednesday.

The party that represents about half of the country had banning abortion as their primary message for the past 20+ years when asking for votes and contributions. They got their votes. For many people, voting Republican was based on this one issue (didn't care about anything else). And when the Republicans got the majority control, their (biggest?) goal was to ram this through.

I'm sure lots of Republican voters want some sort of abortion, especially for medical situations, but they voted crazies who did not bother to properly write the laws making clear when abortions can be done (they didn't even think it through after all the years they had). Doctors and hospitals are not willing to take any risks - why should they? Not only that, these politicians (like in Idaho) are trying to go after the people that leave a state to get an abortion elsewhere. It will have to get worse before the idiot voters wake up and threaten their party leaders in the red states.

The country is a mess compared to so many others because we let politicians do just about whatever once they get into office. They represent corporations and people keep voting them in because most voters only care about 1-2 issues.
