CAP RE-BALANCE: the elephant in the room

I truly believe that a Titan should remain at it's current price. But I also think that supercarriers need a mineral reduction! Groups that want to grow in strength will have a great incentive to take sov. There will be greater battles. More chances of an escalation that could potentially cripple an entity in the aftermath. 2 for 1. Reduce the cost. You'll see forces that battle over poses/citadel with them in builds more often, and fielding expensive setups to do so, that can actually be countered. Losing them should still be a great loss. These days, supercarriers have grown out of being an asset that alliances purchase to be used by selected pilots. A price reduction would still require an average player to work hard for one. More alliances will be inclined to use some moon mining proceeds towards incentive programs, as some could afford to run srp as well if they are doing okay. They would still be something that one would not want to lose.

Some people think they will just become as common as a Svipul here lol...People take great care when piloting a jump freighter into dangerous lands.

Escalation theory would change, for the better I think. The people who think they should cost twice as much as they really should are the ones that have hundreds of them already due to a damaging renter/OTEC NAP agreement that caused a great deal of damage to the game. Everything that has been done in the last year has been trying to reverse that damage. Halving the cost of a mothership would do a great deal towards that goal. Due to the changes coming, making them no longer immune to EWAR, ehp changes, etc...a subcap fleet can haze them. Neut that tank and they melt real fast even today.

There has got to be some kind of middle ground. An alliance that holds an entire sov region, with all it's moons, unabated by an enemy force, should be able to build them at a much faster rate. Imperium/NC/PL were able to because they owned nearly 100% of eve online for a couple years, due to a small window where they reached critical mass over all other groups in eve, allowing them to hold onto that until CCP intervention.
