Car financing seems crazy to me, I need some guidance.

I got caught by this and felt i had no choice due to low credit. Thought surely getting something that had been looked over by a dealer would be better than possibly purchasing a lemon.

33000k for a car that was "worth" 18k cheapest one they had, maybe shouldnt have believe them there. Flash forward 4 years, almost paid it off only one year left, but now it has completely broken down and I can't fix it. Caused me to lose my job. Not only that but this job is the first one I ever got in all my time in canada thay paid a decent living wage. 10 years of being taken advantage of in this dumb America lite system. I live in the country so can't get a job within walking distance... no money left to get a mechanic. Changed the starter, belt started smoking. Alternator was seized. Changed the alternator, battery still wouldn't hold charge. Changed the battery, still won't hold a charge and now my car won't even start again at all.

My advice is don't do it anything could happen and the car might not even be that good. Just go on kijiji or something or talk to people and see if a friend/family will sell you something.
