[CBC/Radio-Canada] (1/3) Twitter’s own policy defines government-funded media as cases where the government “may have varying degrees of government involvement over editorial content,” which is clearly not the case with CBC/Radio-Canada.

because if your gonna operate on tax payer dollars your primary mission should be these two things:

  1. the most important and only real reason! maintain and upgrade your national network of terrestrial broadcasting as in compliance with the CRTC, ISED and EAS. for the purposes of keeping the public informed in time of crisis (with their 10 year plan to shut down all terrestrial broadcasting they are no longer beholden to the Emergency Alert System, which means in a emergency situation, one with out the internet, they are useless)
  2. tell the news from a third person point of view. up to date weather. (this is up for debate but shows about mark critchs life, political pundits commentary and opinion pieces are not what im paying for)
