So I’ll add the unpopular opinions. The sheer volume of PSA cards listed and sold in active markets means anyone who wants to buy for the investment is buying PSA. Sure, no one really knows whats going to happen years down the road, but PSA has a much more approachable grading standard then CGC or BGS. It’s subjective and a single printing flaw will not cost you a 10. With CGC 10’s are very rare but 9 or under is iffy to say the least. This is going to hurt CGC future prospects because a CGC 8 is about equivalent to a PSA 6-7. If you’re only dealing in 10s and 9s it shouldn’t matter, but long term we will see the market explode to the point lower grades will hold value as well and then it will be interesting to see how CGC stacks vs PSA.
