Child of Rage (1990) A chilling documentary mainly featuring an interview between a 6-year-old psychopath and her psychiatrist in which she describes in lurid detail the fantasies of wanting to murder her brother and parents

I used to see these really crazy things in dreams, just insane gore, murder, mayhem. But then, in the 70s they had all sorts of crazy shit on TV, so who knows?

Over time though, more and more of the dreams matched up with more and more historical events.

It got worse from about 10-14, I'd have dreams that were like readers digest versions of daily life, all the interesting highlights. Which was amazingly annoying because life in the sticks was insanely boring, but with that going on, completely maddening.

Finally learned to program my mind to filter out those dreams. Generally something only gets through if it's really bad. I think it's still idling in my back brain though. I'll get random things at the store before they're needed. Various parts, tools, and other things. And then people will get freaked out when I have just the needed item out of the blue. ;)

A few big slip ups though, once got sort of drunk and told a former employer, that I was helping with some project or other, about my favorite conspiracy theory. She was like, uh, yeah, ok, whatever.

The day after, I'm sure it got a whole lot less amusing. 9/11 rolls around, I see something on TV that looks like a volcano blew, in Manhattan no less. Call around, and am like, well shit, there goes my favorite conspiracy theory. Go to work, get some coffee in me, and remember the night before. Uh oh! Betting my ass is on every watch list in creation now if she blabbed.

But she probably didn't. She was into astrology and all that crazy BS. And I helped her and her son out with stock market picks on several occasions. All the picks had relatively sound reasoning, and they made a nice stack of money on it.

Not too much contact with her after that day though. Probably she wasn't wanting to hear conspiracy theories 2,3,4 and 5, not when it turns into news the day after. :D

Since then, nothing too interesting going on. Sometimes I end up going to one place after another where the ambulances, police, and firetrucks are showing up or leaving.

Most depressing ones would probably be the Jewish Center Shooting in Seattle, was nosing around that neighborhood just a day or two before things went to hell there. Later on the Bellevue crane collapse(well, it killed a Microsoft lawyer, big whoop), and then a fatal shooting that happened at my apartment complex.

I suppose if I was one of those Reapers from the Dead Like Me series, I wouldn't even have to change my routine. ;) Or who knows, maybe something that feeds off chaos energy, or the potentials for it.

Lots of fodder for fiction writing. Or so I thought. Worked on a few books, just for my own amusement, no serious thoughts of publishing for money, and tried to imagine all sorts of just off the wall chaos that could happen in modern times. Got stumped on where to go for a time, went back, read it, and it looks like I just swiped a bunch of crap from the news and spun it a little.

So, I suppose there are worse things than just being honestly crazy. Oh well.
